underside and rear of my passenger side plenum where it had apparently been machined too thin at the factory. It was leaking oily fluid down on to my pcv hoses, precats, etc.. I originally thought it was my valve covers or pcv leaking. I eventually pulled plenum, replaced valves, hoses and valve cover gaskets, and thoroughly cleaned all the areas. Then I reinstalled the plenum only to discover I did not have the plenum gasket seated properly causing a major vacuum leak and the car would not hold idle! After about 15 minutes of total attempted idle time, I pulled the plenum again only to discover oily residue on the underside of plenum! Valve covers underneath were clean so that pointed to the source coming from the plenum itself. That's when I took a closer look with a magnifying glass at the plenum and discovered the pin hole cracks. If I hadn't misaligned the gasket I might never have discovered the source as the entire area would have gotten oily camouflaging the source again. JB Weld has stopped the leak to date (~6 months). Here's a pic of the pin holes.
I only mention this to point out that if SGP had cracked your block, JB Weld would have been a reasonable solution to try and address the problem, however I believe they should have informed you of the event, and then offered to take care of any future problems that may arise from it. Hope you get it worked out.
